I had my surgery on April 9, 2007. I had health problems that cause me to have this surgery and I'm glad thankful to GOD I did. I'm healthier, I have more energy, I'm a NEW person. I've lost a 120 pounds. Dr. Bina help to save my life. He's a GREAT surgeon. He's open and honest about the surgery. You can ask him anything and he'll make you feel comfortable about it. Total Weight Loss : 60 lbs in 1-year. Lap Band Surgery

It has been a year since I had LAP-BAND surgery and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! Since surgery I have lost 60 lbs and I feel great. I have to admit I was scared to make the decision because I knew it would take some effort on my side, but I had failed at several other diets and I knew if I wanted to lose weight and keep it off, this was the direction I had to take, and I am so glad I did.

In my opinion, the best thing about lap-band surgery is being able to still eat the food you love, only less of it. I was never the type of person who could take one bite of something and be satisfied; I had to have it all! But now I get fuller faster and I feel satisfied all of the time.

The surgery and recovery time was great since everything was done laproscopically and I was able to be back at work and doing my usual routine within a week. For a full time employee and mother of two, that was a huge plus.

Dr. Bina and his staff are an amazing team to work with. They are very thorough with every Doctor visit and very helpful. You never feel like you only have two seconds of their time like at other Doctor offices and you can be sure if you call just to ask a question that they are always there to offer assistance. They have given me many helpful tools that have enabled me to be successful.

I strongly encourage anyone who is considering weight loss surgery to make the call. Whether it be LAP-BAND or gastric bypass the ultimate decision is yours, but I can guarantee you, it will change your life for the better.  It happened to me!

I consider myself blessed to have found Dr. Bina. I had tried for several years to find a surgeon who made me feel comfortable and could get insurance approval for a gastric bypass. He told me at my first visit (April 2006) that he would have my surgery scheduled in 4 months. I laughed at him telling him good luck. In less than 4 months I was scheduled for my surgery. My new birthday is Aug 4, 2006. At the time of surgery my weight was 337 lbs. To date I have lost 170 lbs. People are amazed when they see the new me. I can not thank Dr. Bina and his staff enough for the wonderful way they have assisted me in my transformation. Both pre and post surgery they were quick to respond when I had questions or concerns. And even now I know they are just one phone call away. Thanks again.
